Okay hi,
So it’s the Easter holidays. It kind of feels like university is done really. My dissertation is finished and handed in, my viva (a spoken exam about my research project) is done, and all but a few lectures are finished. All I have left of my degree is some exams in May and June, and a few small pieces of coursework which are also due in May.
I’ve not been able to either find a job I’d like, or to get a job that I don’t just to tie me over. The future is a mystery. It feels like quite a liberating time really. Real life doesn’t feel so imminent that I need to start worrying about what I’m going to do with my future, but at the same time the end of university is close enough that I can start dreaming about what might be.
I never did a gap year or anything like that, and I (hopefully) graduate before I turn 21 so I’m still pretty young for the stage of life I’m at, which makes it more exciting, because travelling is always an option. At this point, there’s no pressure. No doubt come June/July, I’ll start freaking out over what I’m going to do next, but at this stage I still have the luxury of not knowing, and of not needing to know
Having said that, as I write this I do think I should start to plan out, or at least investigate, what happens next. But that’s the nice thing about this part of life. I’ve still got time.
Loveyoubye
