So it’s that time of the year again and every time I refresh my twitter feed I see more and more people who have been accepted to join UoL which is so lovely to see. I still can’t quite get over the fact that I am going into my 3rd year- time has literally flown by.
But back to A level results, well done to all the clever clogs who got their results today! You all must be super proud of yourselves for all the hard work and effort that you put in to get those 3 little letters which will set you on the right path to a bright future. Even if you are disappointed, it’s not the end of the world, although it feels like it right now!
I’m not really a lover of the saying “everything happens for a reason” but for me it truly did. Although Leicester has taken me on a slight detour, I have met some of the best friends, had far too many drunken experiences, and shared many embarrassing, albeit funny memories.
I hope you all go out and celebrate (or commiserate) each other in the form of lots of tequila, as it most definitely helps (I have tried this method far too many times). Although try not to do what I did, which is get so drunk you throw up everywhere and have to be helped out of the club toilets by security. I’m not going to lie, being escorted out with no shoes and smudged makeup wasn’t my finest hour, although chips on the way home definitely perked me up.
So there are defo positives in all the negatives, and with all the atrocities in the world recently, no one will condemn you for getting a B instead of an A. So be proud, hold your head high and power on through to your next adventure!
P.S To those coming to Leicester this year, hello!! and please come and join lacrosse!!!
Well done to you all!
Katie
